I'm an unpublished independent artist, and I don't pretend to be
incredibly good. I'd love to release an album, but I can no way
afford all the charges, especially licensing ones for any covers of
other peoples work. So I was wondering if as long as I don't make any
profits from the CD, can I use them without copyright charges? I need
